Interpreter Services
Patients seeing a Weill Cornell Physician may request an interpreter to accompany them to their medical appointment. Interpreter services, provided free of charge, are available at all physicians' offices at the main Medical Center facilities. Trained interpreters are available in numerous languages, including American Sign Language. Interpreters adhere to a strict code of ethics, including patient confidentiality and respect for other cultural practices and beliefs.
Requests for interpreters must be made through the physician's office. If you would like to have an interpreter present during a medical visit, please inform a member of the medical office's staff when you make your appointment.
